Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and 15368669 Canada Inc. ("we", "us") for using Lettrs. By using the app you accept them. If you do not, please do not use Lettrs.
Who can use Lettrs
You must be at least 13 years old.
You need an account of your own. You may only sign in with credentials that belong to you.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
You can change your display name and username in Edit profile. Previous usernames stay reserved to your account and no longer appear in search. If you delete your account, its usernames are retired rather than released. Existing letters keep the names they were sent with.
You may not choose a username that impersonates somebody else.
Letters
What you write is yours. You keep every right to your own words, drawings, photographs and recordings. You give us only the permission we need to run the app: to store your letters, and to deliver them to the people you address them to.
We do not use your letters for anything else. We do not read them for advertising, we do not train anything on them, and we do not show them to other users except the person you sent them to. Authorized reviewers may access reported letters to investigate abuse, as described in the Privacy Policy.
A letter you send becomes the recipient's. Once it has been delivered you cannot take it back, edit it, or remove it from their account — including by deleting your own. Write accordingly.
You may cancel an invitation you sent before anyone claims it.
What you may not do
Do not use Lettrs to:
- harass, threaten, bully or abuse anybody
- send anything unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit involving minors
- send anything you do not have the right to send
- impersonate another person
- send unsolicited advertising, or send invitations en masse
- attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service or to other people's accounts
Write only to people who want to hear from you. Lettrs lets you invite someone who has never used the app. That is for reaching people you know, not strangers.
Reporting
If you receive something abusive, contact us at support@getlettrs.app with the sender's username. We will look into it and may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.
Lettrs Plus
Plus is an optional monthly or yearly subscription. Prices and available trial offers are shown before purchase. An eligible yearly plan includes a three-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account, and subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting your Lettrs account does not cancel your Apple subscription.
One subscription can provide Plus access to you and one person you choose through Lettrs. Shared access depends on the owner’s active subscription and can be removed by the owner. It is separate from Apple Family Sharing.
Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time from the profile screen. What is deleted and what remains is described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to by law.
The service as it is
Lettrs is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of faults.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot bear to lose. We take care with your letters, but we cannot guarantee against loss, and Lettrs is not a backup service.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or lost profits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and significant changes will be told to you in the app. Continuing to use Lettrs after a change means you accept it.
App licence
The app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ . These terms describe use of the Lettrs service and do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
